Vintage Sports Cars

    Beautiful old sports cars roar and snort and gleam in the sun.  They are lovingly polished, carefully repaired, proudly displayed, and even recklessly raced -- at Watkins Glen, New York, early each September.  A golden, wine-country light bathes the event, this autumnal ritual -- a celebration of past technology, of drivers’ daring, and owners’ pride, variously observed in admiring silence, or in whispered phrases, or in boisterous palaver.
